Age Concern Costa de La Luz Sur was started in 2011 by a group of dedicated volunteers in partnership with the Chiclana Foreign Residents Association (ChiFRA), with whom it works very closely and shares a number of Management Commitee Members.

The constitution was accepted and registered with the Junta de Andalucia in 2012 and it became a full member of the Federation of Age Concern España in the same year.

The geographical area of Age Concern Costa de La Luz covers the province of Cádiz. However most services are currently concentrated in the Chiclana de la Frontera and Conil de la Frontera local areas until more volunteers can be trained up.
